GRONN is a circular economy social enterprise based in Guatemala that transforms glass waste into high-quality, sustainable home goods. Operating under a hybrid model of environmental stewardship and social empowerment, we integrate upcycling technology with artisanal craftsmanship to create premium products for both local and international markets. Our mission is to lead the transition toward a circular economy in Central America by proving that glass waste is a valuable resource. We aim to reduce environmental pollution while creating dignified, well-paid employment opportunities for individuals in vulnerable communities, turning environmental challenges into economic solutions. Our impact is built on three fundamental pillars: Environmental: We divert tons of glass from landfills and oceans, significantly reducing the carbon footprint associated with traditional glass manufacturing. Social: We focus on dignified labor, providing technical training and stable income to at-risk populations, particularly women and youth in rural areas of Guatemala. Systemic Change: We educate consumers and businesses on the viability of upcycled products, setting a new standard for responsible production and consumption in the region.
